At what stage does a bee come out ready to start working?

The adult stage is when a bee emerges fully developed and ready to begin its role within the colony. During the adult stage, bees are equipped with the necessary physical characteristics and instincts to engage in various tasks such as foraging for nectar and pollen, caring for the queen and brood, and maintaining the hive environment.

Prior to reaching the adult stage, bees go through earlier life stages: eggs develop into larvae, and larvae transform into pupae. During the larval and pupal stages, bees are not capable of performing these adult functions, as they are still developing and maturing. Thus, only when they reach adulthood do they acquire the capability and responsibility to start working within the colony.
